My Background
As I continue with my academic journey, it is important to me that I help in some way to support my community and peer involvement. I believe that services for the community speak louder than words and help shape an individual to represent core values and qualities.

August 2019 - Current
As I made the decision to attend Florida Southern College and move out of my hometown, I made it one of my priorities to help volunteer in the new area. I came across BBBS at a tabling event at my school and after learning more about it, I realized that this platform is something I felt like matched with my personal experiences and gives me a chance to support families and children who need it most. I am very passionate and nurturing for my little brother, and being a part of this service exposed new perspectives about children learning and potential.
Planned Parenthood GenAction
Being involved in the GenAction club on my campus has been a fantastic and fulfilling experience, and I am grateful to grow close with peers that share the same values and views that I do. I am very passionate and proud that I am the leading coordinator and president, and as a club, we strive to spread awareness about SexEd and reproductive rights that benefits an environment such as a college campus tremendously. I have organized events such as a SexEd trivia event, attended rallies and women march, and have also traveled to Tallahassee to speak to state legislators about upcoming Florida bills regarding women's rights.
